WELLS-John F. Wells, of 4350 Highway 99 South, Junction City, passed away in Springfield April 16, 1963 at the age of 76. He was born July 17, 1886 in Dora, Missouri and was united in marriage to Nellie Goldie Pierce in Kansas, June 12, 1906. He owned and operated Meadowview Auction Market. Surviving are his wife, Goldie; five sons: James of Junction City, Alvie of Cottage Grove, Walter of Earls Lodge, Albert and Joseph of Eugene; four daughters, Alma Spores of Dexter, Rosa Ashby of Springfield, Ruth Henderson of Junction City, Mary Ross of Glide; one brother, Joseph of Oklahoma; twenty-four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 1963 at 1:30 p.m. MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Junction City. Reverend Ben Vegors officiating. Interment West Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
