Amanda Frances (Bengtson) Benson (98)was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Anderson) Bengtson. At the age of four, she and her family moved to Clitherall and she attended country school in District 53. She was baptized in Malmo, Sweden and confirmed in 1898 at the Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in rural Battle Lake, MN.
On March 9, 1910 she married Oscar Benson, son of Jens Benson and Betsey Larson (Boel Larsdotter) Swedish immigrants.
She was a member of the Homemaker's Guild, Birthday Club, Nidaros Lutheran Church and the American Lutheran Church Women (ALCW).
Amanda Frances Bengtson and Oscar Benson had two children:
1. George Benson b. 1911
2. Lillian Evelyn
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar, and one brother.
