Military. He participated in the Falklands War commanded the Regiment of Infantry No. 25. He also was one of the leaders of the "carapintada" movement, a group of officers and sub officers who starred Nationalist Army military uprisings during the governments of Raúl Alfonsín and Carlos Menem. During the second uprising, were taken the Libertador Building, the headquarters of the army command, and several military garrisons, dying 14 people, including 5 civilians. He was tried by a military court and sentenced to death but was granted commutation of sentence to life imprisonment for the intercession of several personalities, including Pope John Paul II.
