James Grayson Tuckey, of 224 Barlow St., Gettysburg, died Tuesday, 24 Oct. 1989.
He was born in Menallen Township, son of the late Wilbie Theodore & Etta Olla Showers Tuckey.
He is survived by his wife, Ada McCauslin Tuckey; a son, James Daryl Tuckey of Baltimore; a daughter, Judith G. Smith of Gettysburg; three sisters, Isabelle Hummer of Lebanon, Pa.; Ethel Kuntz of Gardners; Gay DeSimon of Gettysburg; two brothers, Jessie and Burton Tuckey of Biglerville; and five grandsons.
He was a linesman with Metropolitan Edison in Gettysburg for 33 years before retiring in 1974. He was a member of Gettysburg United Methodist Church, a member of the Adams County Fish & Game Association, and a member of the AARP.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Slaybaugh, Jr officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Carl Posser, Daniel Bricker, Robert Smith, Lynn McCauslin, Herman Dixon and Ralph Guise.
