Betty Jane (Plautz) Mueske of Merrill, died Feb 4, 2011, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
Betty was born May 17, 1923, in Merrill, the daughter of Arnold and Annabel (Frechette) Plautz. Betty Jane and Ralph Carl Mueske were united in marriage Jun 30, 1959, in Merrill. He preceded her in death.
Betty worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory for 18 years. She also worked at Badger Paint Store, Associated Co-op, The Foto News and Johnson Paint Store.
Betty and Ralph enjoyed golfing at many courses all over the state, and even traveled to Arizona and Florida to golf with friends during the winter months. Betty enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at Jenny Towers, and eating out with the girls. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member of Trinity Church choir and several Bible classes. Her Christian faith and family were a very important part of her life, and she truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan.
Surviving are her son, Timothy (Jennifer) Mueske, Merrill; granddaughter, Amanda (Shane) Janke and grandson, Alexander Mueske, both of Merrill; great-grandson, Logan Janke; and great-granddaughter, Lillian Janke.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Willis "Bill" and James Plautz.
Inurnment will take place at Merrill Memorial Park
