Lina was a pretty Calico kitty.
Her vet said she was most likely born sick. She started showing signs of being ill in late 1995. Just 2 months before her 2nd. birthday she went into severe kidney failure and had to be euthanized. I held her before they took her into the back room. She couldn't lift her head or even blink her eyes. She tried to move her tail when I would rub her head. Just before I handed her off to the vet she looked up at me for just a second.
I have no idea why I didn't stay with her during her passing. I always have with the others.
We buried her at the back of a friends property. Several years later they sold the property and a developer built houses on it. It pains me to wonder where Lina's body ended up.
My kitties now get cremated.
