Ira Wolfe, aged 63 years, was struck by passenger train No. 3 at Terra Alta at 6:30 Wednesday morning, Sept. 14, and instantly killed.
He lived with his family at the Factory Settlement and was walking on the tracks toward Terra Alta, where he was employed by the town. The body was taken to the A. R. Fike undertaking parlors and prepared for burial. The body was considerably bruised.
He was a highly respected citizen of the community in which he lived and is survived by his wife, who was Miss Teena Lawson, and seven small children ranging in age from one and one-half years to 14.
Floyd M. Wolfe, 36 years of age, was run over by a freight train about 500 feet west of the railroad crossing in the town of Newburg between four and five o'clock. He was a pipe-fitter for the railroad company, but was not at work at the time. His body was found soon after the accident in a terribly mangled condition. It was taken to the undertaking parlors of A. C. Sinclair and prepared for burial.
The funeral service will be held Friday. Mr. Wolfe was a brother of Thomas and Benjamin Wolfe, Newburg merchants, and was highly respected by all. He is also survived by his wife and five small children, the oldest being but thirteen.
