Excerpt--Ernest Huber Shay, for many years ticket and freight agent for the B&O Railroad at Newburg, died late Monday after an automobile mishap at Thornton. The accident was minor, but Shay died on the scene of a heart attack from the shock of the accident. He was born Oct. 31, 1889, at Thornton, the s/o Ezekiel J. and Mary LaRue Shay. Surviving are his widow, Lulu Turner Shay; three brothers, Jesse Shay of Newburg, James L. Shay of Keyser and George Shay of Cortland, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Edith Tucker of Tunnelton.
