Connie, age 93, died following a short illness at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin. She was the daughter of Congreve J. and Maude Agnes (Vining) Hurt. She married Marion L. Evans on June 16, 1940, in Columbus. Survivors include her sons, Fred Evans and Richard Evans, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings, A.J. Hurt, Martha Belt, Agnes Bitterman, Frances Norris, and Mary Gore. Funeral services were held at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Columbus. Burial was in Park Cemetery.
