Earl W. Stockdale, 65, of 1017 North Parrish Street, Uhrichsville, a former resident of Zanesville, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning in Twin Cities hospital at Dennison following a two week illness of pneumonia. Mr. Stockdale was employed as a meat cutter at the Greenlee grocery in Uhrichsville. He was born in Zanesville on June 9, 1885, a son of John H. and Alvina Stockdale. He was a member of Central Trinity Methodist Church and of Lodge of Amity F&Am, of Zanesville.
His wife, Laura, died on Oct 12, 1948. Surviving are a son, Dr. John Stockdale; three grandchildren of Uhrichsville and a sister, Mrs. Iva Roush of Zanesville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the R. K. Lindsey funeral home at Dennison with Rev. C. J. Hass officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.

The daughter of John and Malverna Stockdale, she was born in Zanesville and spent her entire life here. Surviving are her brother Earl Stockdale of Uhrichsville, three sisters, Mrs. Luther Hanks of Mt. Gilead, Mrs. Mary Zoph, of Toboso, and Mrs. Way Roach, of Hedgewood Avenue.
