Randolph Binion Luttrell, Jr.,
63, of Parker, formerly of Atmore, Alabama, died peacefully at home with family at his side on February 3, 2011.

Father of Caitlyn Luttrell. Brother of Betty (Wes) Kendall.

Randolph B. (Rusty) Luttrell, Jr.
Mr. Randolph B. (Rusty) Luttrell, Jr., aged 63, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at his sister's home in Parker, Colo.

He was educated in the Atmore school system. A highlight for him was his involvement with the Boy Scouts where he accomplished the Eagle Scout Award. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Birmingham Southern University where he was a Pi Kappa Alpha. His master of Fine Arts degree was from Florida State University. He also received a Certificate of Design from the Sheridan School of Design in Toronto, Canada.

Focusing on sculpture, glass blowing and stained glass, he taught at Flagler College, Jacksonville University, Florida State University and at the Jacksonville Art Museum. He exhibited and sold his art at Luttrell Studios in St. Augustine, Florida and at art shows and galleries throughout the eastern United States and Canada. He served as Director of Workshops at Pine Castle, a facility for developmentally disabled adults.

He was employed at Bateson Furniture for twenty-two years and retired as president of the company in 2005. In Atmore, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the Arts Council and the Downtown Re-Development Committee.

Mr. Luttrell is survived by his daughter, Caitlyn Grace Luttrell, of Mobile, Ala; a sister, Betty (Wes) Kendall of Parker; and numerous cousins and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Atmore, Alabama.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Randolph B. Luttrell Sr. Rotary Club Memorial Scholarship for Academic All Stars (High School) in Atmore, Alabama.
