Harold B. Alexander
Services for Harold B. Alexander will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sweet Union Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Mr. Alexander was born March 3, 1916, in Jacksonville, and died Aug. 26, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Amy Alexander and one grandson, Andre' L. Baker Sr.
Harold graduated from Fred Douglass High School of Jacksonville in 1933 and attended Lon Morris College.
He served his community and church in many ways and played an important role in making a difference in the lives and living conditions of many people.
He once stated that he believed the Lord chose him to do the things he was able to do.
He was also a member of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas.
Visitation in the form of a wake will be 6-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Community Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
