He was born on Oct. 4, 1924 in Waynesboro, a son of Clarence Bishop and Mary Rebecca (Hildebrand) Meadows.
At the time of his death, he was serving First Baptist Church of Grottoes. He was the former owner and operator of Meadows Photography and McPherson Blair Associates, Inc.
He was a member of Grottoes First Baptist Church, was an associate member of First Baptist Church of Staunton, and conducted prison ministry at Staunton Correctional Center for 22 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years, are a daughter Donna Fae Meadows of Staunton; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene David and Mary Meadows of Waynesboro; very special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and Jim Boyne, Doni and Wayne Batton, and Floyd and Dean Crouch; mother-in-law, Lillian E. Crouch of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, April Willey and Tevye Willie, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Edward A. Fisher, with burial in Thornrose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Coffey, Donald Morris, Howard Pirkey, Howard Dean, Thomas Sellers and John Funk.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 this evening in Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
