Vanessa Averie Cease was a 24 year old free spirited soul who was born on April 13, 1986 in Long Beach, California. She was a beaming light of humor, optimism and joy. Vanessa is survived by her 3 year old daughter Jordan Paige Cerda whom she lives with her father, Jesus Cerda and her 6 year old sister Melanie Cerda in Anaheim. She has two beautiful sisters; 30 year old Avygail Marie Cease and younger 22 year old Raina Lizell Cease. Norman and Bambi Cease are the wonderfully proud parents of Vanessa. Through their guidance, wisdom and love Vanessa was able to share her own passion for life and excitement to the world.

She attended Holy Innocence Catholic school and graduated from Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood, CA. Vanessa completed the dental assistant program through the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program and was continuing her education at Cypress College where she was pursuing a career in dentistry, so one day she could become a dental hygienist.

Vanessa pursued life with the vigor and passion most people could only dream of. She was the type of person to leap before looking; love before reasoning, and exit when she was most desired (making people miss her even more). In the later moments of life she found a renewed sense of life, love and happiness with Raymond, with whom she spent her final moments with.

She fell in love with Life and Life rewarded her with an angelic daughter, an unconditionally loving family and an unwavering legion of friends and fans. We should all be so lucky....

This quote is from Vanessa's Facebook quotation page, which express Vanessa's philosophy on life:
"Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above." -Gia Marie Carangi
