Funeral for Edith Kinsel, 92, of Tyler, TX formerly of Rusk, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Mrs. Kinsel died October 18, 2010 in at Tyler Hospice. She was born December 20, 1917, in Zavalla, TX to the late Joseph Jerry and Carrie Elizabeth Walker Poland. Mrs. Kinsel was a resident of Rusk, TX for 67 years before moving to Tyler, TX eight years ago. She was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Rusk/Alto Order of The Eastern Star Chapter #79. Mrs. Kinsel was a member of The Rusk Garden Club and the Rusk Study Club. She was a graduate of Henderson County Junior College. She retired from Rusk State Hospital after 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Kinsel in 1998; and four brothers, Carmen, Coz, Ralph and Hardy Wayne Poland.

She is survived by her children, Tillman (Jerry) and Betty Kinsel of Baytown, TX.
