COX, Lota Lee - 1520 Cedarwood Dr., Flushing, formerly of Flint, age 88, died Tuesday, April 23,1985 at McLaren General Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., pastor J. L. Fisk officiating. Interment, Gracelawn Cemetery. Mrs. Cox will lie in state at the funeral after 7PM Wednesday. She was born in Hornbeak, Tennessee, August 7, 1896. She had been a Flint resident since 1927. Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Martha Highfill of Flushing, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Houghteling of Lansing; 2 sons, Herman Cox of Byron, Hailey and wife Inez of Hornbeak, Tennessee; sister, Margaret McIntyre of Hornbeak, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in dead by 2 daughters, Lois Marie Cox 1n 1935 and Grace Neely O'Guinn in 1962, a sister, Maray Elder of Flint, and brother, Frank Short of Hornbeak, Tennessee.
