He became a Christian in 1916 and united with the church in 1917 when the Church Of God was organized in Alachua, Florida. The Reverend Miller L. Vaughn became active in the ministry in 1923 and pastored several churches in the State of Florida. After his retirement he became a faithful and loyal member of the Dover Church. He served in many positions in the church and often filled in for the pastor.
He preached his last sermon early this year in the Dover Church and souls were saved during that service. The entire church was saddened by his death, but we look forward to meeting him again in heaven.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hadsock Vaughn; three sons: George Wayford, Leroy, and Bobby; three daughters: Mrs. Winnie Mae Conner, Mrs. Leona Cameron, and Mrs. Martha Fulwood; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Dover Church by his pastor, the Reverend G. L. McKee, and the Reverend Y. W. Kidd. Interment was in the Dover Cemetery
