Daughter of Col. Joseph Blackwell and Mary Brent.

Sarah Sally Iness Blackwell was the second wife of Charles Sterne. They had no children, however Charles had 2 children with his first wife Elizabeth Blackwell (sister to Sarah) This family is under current study.
STERNE- Sarah, relict of the late Major Charles Sterne, and dau of Col. Joseph
Mary Brent Blackwell, was born in Fauquier Co., Va. Nov 1804, and died in
Carrollton, Mo, 16 Nov 18770 In 1833 she came to Mo and settled in Howard co,
and from thence in 1839 she removed to Carroll Co., where she spent the remnant
of her days (eulogy). She spent her last days with her bro, Judge A C Blackwell,
who tenderly cared for her, and who is now the only surviving member of his
