He was the son of Solomon and Mary Daney. He had lived in the Talihina area for most of his life. During his working years, he had been employed as a pumper with Shamrock Oil Co. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Talihina. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Joan Conner, Vista,CA; a son, Atha Dean Daney, Jr. of Talihina; a sister, Thelma Winlock of Talihina; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Justine.
