Jimmy Lee Davis, 72, of Jacksonville, passed away November 30, 2010. Born in Collins, GA to Bill and Mamie Davis, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A member of Arlington Baptist Church, Jimmy retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years of service. He volunteered with the TPC for over 30 years and was on the Board of Coastline Credit Union. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marion C. Davis; mother, Mamie Davis Collins; son, Joseph H. Davis (Patricia); daughter, Pamela L. Racer (Tom); brothers, William J. Davis (Carolyn) and Leslie H. Davis (Jan); grandchildren, Thomas "T. J." Racer, Corey M. Racer, Hannah E. Davis and Olivia J. Davis; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2010 at Arlington Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Newton officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Cobbtown, GA.
