Memorial services for David William Dale, 29, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Cremation is planned and inurnment is pending.

Mr. Dale died at his residence on Sunday, Jan. 31, 1993.

He was born Dec. 18, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo., to William T. and Sandra Painter Dale. Mr. Dale lived in Lawrence all his life.

He was a bass guitar player and had worked in construction in Lawrence.

He had played in several local bands including the Mortal Micronotz, Kelly Girls and Joe Worker.

Survivors include his parents, William Dale, Arlington, Tex., and Sandra Dale, Minneapolis; and a brother, Bart, Tempe, Ariz.

The family will meet with friends after the service Wednesday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the David William Dale Memorial Fund, and contributions may be sent in care of the mortuary.

David toured the country as bass player for The Mortal Micronotz. Kim Czarnopys of Kill Whitey fame, was a eulogist with Trey Parker at David's 2/3/93 memorial service at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Chapel in Lawrence. Kim also did a guitar solo and David's fellow bandmates performed music. His ashes were scattered at Potter Lake on the University of Kansas campus.
