Services for Henry Porter Abel, 80, of 316 7th Ave. NW, who died Thursday at a local rest home, were Friday at Guntharp Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. A.B. Van Arsdale officiating. Burial was in the Roselawn Cemetery, Guntharp directing.
Surviving are a son, Henry Ernest Abel of Tuscumbia; three daughters, Mrs. W.P. Cook of Decatur; Mrs. Ralph Hallmark of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. James Holt of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
