Deceased Name: STEPHANIE C. TURNBOLE DIES IN BELLEVILLE AT AGE OF 45

Stephanie C. Turnbole, 45, wife of David P. Turnbole, died Thursday afternoon at her home, 2367 Main St., after a two-month bout with cancer.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, with Rev. Loren Widrick, pastor of the Woodville Mennonite Church, officiating. Burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with members of the Belleville Order of the Eastern Star 136 meeting for a memorial service at 8:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Jefferson County, P.O. Box 677, Watertown, NY 13601.

Surviving are two daughters, Samantha J. and Katherine A., both at home; her parents, John and Claire Allen, East Hampton, L.I.; a brother, Douglas J.M. Allen, New London, Conn.; a sister, I. Elaine Allen, Philadelphia, Pa.; and an aunt, two nieces and a nephew.

Born in Astoria March 24, 1943, a daughter of John T. and Claire Meldrum Allen, she was graduated from Harper College High School in 1959 and attended Binghamton State University.

She married David P. Turnbole of Ellisburg Nov. 11, 1967, in Astoria.

Mrs. Turnbole was employed as a public relations assistant representing various chemical firms in New York City for a few years. She later was the inventory control manager for Romanow Enterprises, an auto parts warehouse, in Foxboro, Mass., and Torrence, Calif. She and her husband returned to Smithtown, L.I., in 1975, and then moved to Belleville in 1980.

She was a member of the Woodville Mennonite Church, the Belleville Order of the Eastern Star 136, the Belleville Girl Scout Troop and the Belleville Parent-Teacher Organization. For the past two years, she had also been the Belleville correspondent for the Jefferson County Journal
