The funeral of Mrs. Emma Lucy Fielder was held at the Hause Funeral Home in Clinton Wednesday February 9, 1949. Mrs. Fielder passed away February 6 at the home of her son William, 217 North Pearl St., Tecumseh, Michigan at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 26 days. She was born in Bridgewater Township, Washtenaw County, March 11, 1855, the daughter of John and Jane Winham Hooten, where she spent her girlhood. She was united in marriage to William T. Fielder November 3, 1875 in Adrian where they lived for several years. Later moving to near Iron Creek where she spent the remainder of her life. The last two years were spent with her son William and family at whose home she passed away. To this union was born 13 children: six daughters and seven sons. Her loving husband preceded her in death December 11, 1916, also two sons George and Cecil and three daughters, Mrs. Cecilia June, Mrs. Mary Wurster and Mrs. Venia Creger. Left to mourn her loss are five sons Claude of Brooklyn, Frank of California, Roy and Fred of Manchester, and William of Tecumseh; three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Creger of Tecumseh, Mrs. Tressie Nortley and Mrs. Lulu Nortly of Manchester, 67 grandchildren, a large number of great grandchildren and several great great granchildren, one sister Mrs. Ida Kotts of Clinton and nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Friends and relatives attended from Adrian, Morenci, Traverse City, Detroit, Brooklyn, Clinton, Manchester, Ann Arbor, Norvell and Tecumseh.
