He lived in Los Angeles, California, in the early 1930's, and Wichita, Kansas, in the late 1930's and early 1940's, prior to moving to Pomona, in Franklin County, Kansas, where he made his home until his death Friday May 10, 2002, at the age of eighty-nine years.
Lawrence graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1931.
In the early 1930's, Lawrence was employed by Douglas Aircraft, an aircraft production company, in Los Angeles, California, and Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, as a production supervisor, in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer for 50 years.
He was a 33rd degree member of the Scottish Rite Consistory of Wichita.
Lawrence enjoyed working with leather. He also enjoyed his farm and working on his tractor. He loved the family get-togethers, especially, the wiener roasts.
On August 11, 1945, Lawrence was united in marriage with Verda Clour at Augusta, Kansas. She survives of their home.
He is also survived by his three daughters, one son, one sister, and eleven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marjorie Clark; and, brother, Robert Dyer.
