Naomi "Nonie" E Aakeberg, 85, of Superior, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at St Francis Health and Rehabilitation Center. Naomi was born in Superior on Nov 28, 1925. She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1943.
She married Harold Aakeberg on Feb 15, 1943 and the celebrated 39 years of marriage until his death in 1982.
Nonie enjoyed going shopping, going on walks and watching football. She loved her two cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, harold; and brothers, Alois and Burnell.
She is survived by her son, Lonnee of Superior' brother, Eleador "Har" (Betty) Vanderport of Milwaukee; and niece and nephews, Craig, Greg, Valerie, Jeffrey and Dennis.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Chris and Cliff Lind, Dave Lindermann, Marvin Lightner and Dennis Vanderport.
