SARA AUGUSTINE PEACOCK
Mrs. Sara Augustine Peacock, age 78, of Pensacola, died Saturday, December 11, 1999.
She was born August 26, 1921 in Lottie, Ala. and was married 54 years to LeRoy Peacock, who preceded her in death five years ago. Our Mom held the most important job in our country - she was a homemaker. Not only did she care for our family in every physical way, she was the foundation upon which Jesus used to build a Christian family. She modeled the sacrificial love of Christ to each of us which later led us, one by one, to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Mom was saved at the First Baptist Church of Cantonment over 40 years ago and now talks with her Lord face to face.
Mrs. Peacock is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Charles Donovan; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Marge Peacock; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 14, 1999 at 10 a.m. in the Faith Chapel with the Rev. Pat Andrews, Pastor Warren Gilpin, and the Rev. George Shamblin, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Ala. at 12 noon.
Asked to serve as Pallbearers are John Johnson, Warren Davis, Carl Peacock, Billy Peacock, Bob Mannick, and Lynn Chambless.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jerral Lewis, Paul Lesley, Lloyd Morton, Randy Markham, A.R. Smith and Tommy Ward.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
