Husband of Beulah Bendell. He died at the age of 59.

I remember Dave real well. He was a good friend of my father's. He worked as a repairman for the Singer Sewing Machine Co. and I loved the old repair truck he used to drive. Dave was also a member of the same church as well as a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America along with my dad. I remember going to camp with the two of them and Dave was a lot of fun. He lived with us for a few months when he and his first wife got divorced, before he married Beulah. Dave died of a massive heart attack in his recliner while waiting for dinner one evening after he arrived home from work. His 15-year old son, Don found him when he went to call his dad for dinner.

I remember Dave as an easy-goin' guy who seemed to always have a smile on his face. He was probably my father's best friend. I was never a Boy Scout. However I went many time to the campgrounds with my dad's and Dave's Scout troop. We had a ball and that was largly because of Dave. He could be a really funny guy. He loved to joke around with the boys and was known to play practical jokes on them when they least expected it. It hit hard when we got word that Dave had passed away. He was the kind of guy that we thought would live forever. Sadly, we were wrong.
