Eleanor, born on December 5th, 1911 was the last surviving child of Samuel Cummins of Ireland and Anna Coughlin of Atlantic Iowa. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa where she spent her early years before coming to Southern California in the early 1920’s.

Eleanor met her soon to be husband, Donald Ray Tilton Sr., in Southern California and married on December 31, 1929.

In 1971, Don and Eleanor moved to Paradise, California to enjoy their retirement. Sadly, it was cut short with Don’s passing in 1973. Eleanor remained in Paradise where she was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Often you would find her cheerfully serving coffee and donuts, crafting for the Crafters Guild or helping out at the Library Guild. When ill health struck her in 1998, she moved back to Southern California to be near her family.

Eleanor was a mentor, friend, sister, aunt, wife, mother and grandmother.

She is truly missed by her family and friends.
