Glenn Leroy Marshall was born October 21, 1910 in Deep River, Iowa to Perry S. and Hattie V. Tinkle Marshall. On February 6, 1937 he married Dorothy LaVerne Faris, who preceded him in death in November 1991.

Most of his life was spent farming in the Pleasant Plain and Packwood areas. Upon retirement he moved to Fairfield where he lived until failling health determined a move to Mill-Pond Community in Ankeny, Iowa.

December 5, 1992 he married Alice Ward Cupp who preceded him in death in April 2009.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Effie(Fred)Diers, 2 siblings who died in infancy, 2 nephews: Eugene Diers and Gilbert Weber and 1 niece: Donna Weber Baker.

He is survived by 1 daughter: Mary (John)Gaw of Jefferson City, Missouri, 1 son: Larry(Joan)Cupp of Ankeny, 3 grandchildren: Jeff(Barb)Cupp, Rob(Angela)Cupp and Chris(Dave)Mullins, 2 nephews: Leland(Sue)Diers and their son Tim and the late Eugene(Marilyn)Diers and their children Norman and LuAnn, 1 niece: Arbie(Jim)Reed, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

He remained a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fairfield.

Services will be held at 11am Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Internment will be at Keota Cemetery in Keota, Iowa. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 10-11am at Behner Fuineral Home. Memorials may be made to Mill-Pond Retirement Community.
