Funeral services for Brad Thomas Evanski, age 45 of Manchester will be conducted Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Rutledge Falls Baptist Church, 1289 Rutledge Falls Road, Tullahoma, TN 37388 with Brother Mike Morris and Brother Billy Levengood officiating. The body will lie in state at the church Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will follow Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2:30 PM EST at Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN with full military honors. Visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2011 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Coffee County Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Evanski passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma. He was born October 10, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Fred Thomas Evanski and Ramona Phyllis Rhuby Evanski. After graduation, Brad proudly joined the United States Navy. He served during the Gulf War and retired as an Petty Officer First Class (E-6) after 20 years of service. After retirement, he and his family moved to Manchester from his last post in Millington, TN. Brad was currently employed with ATA as an Instrument Technician. He has been an active and devoted member and deacon of the Rutledge Falls Baptist Church since April of 2004. He enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening and fellowship; however, his favorite passion was cooking bar-b-que on his smoker for family and friends. Throughout his life, Brad also felt a passion to help counsel, motivate and guide others to find their niche in life. He was a devoted husband, father and friend who will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Thomas Evanski; maternal grandfather, Ralph Rhuby; aunt, Gloria Purcell; uncle, Randy Rhuby; father-in-law, Leonard G. Chesnut; sister-in-law, Penny Warren; step-maternal grandfather, Herb Golnitz and step-brother-in-law, Roger Chesnut.

In addition to his parents, Fred and Mona Evanski of Buda, TX survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Paula Evanski; two daughters, Reva Evanski and Kayla Evanski all of Manchester; brother, Brian Evanski and wife, Shelly of Rancho Santa Marguerita, CA; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Golnitz; mother-in-law, Helen M. Chesnut of London, KY; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Patti Rodriguiez of Frankfort, KY, Phyllis Bohn and husband, Alan of Covington, KY, Tommy Chesnut and wife, Arlene of Georgetown, KY, Brian Chesnut and wife, Dani of Lily, KY; aunts, Linda Rhuby of Coran, MN, Shirlene Rhuby of Aurora, CO and Betty Carter and husband, Dave of Sequim, WA; and uncle, Larry Rhuby and wife, Marie of Brainerd, MN; step-brother-in-law, Jeff Chesnut and wife, Teri of Seven Mile, OH and step-sister-in-law, Karen King of Hamilton, OH and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends around the world.
Personnal note: Brad was a very outgoing and cheerful guy. When I lost my job a year ago Brad called me up and comforted me in my time of need. He was an excellent christian out-reach minister and someone that we are all proud of and will sorely miss.
