Services for James J. Ahern, 80, will be at 10 a.m.Tuesday at St. John's Catholic church. Burial will be at St. Ambrose cemetery.
Mr. Ahern, whose home was at 2031 Mondamin ave., died Friday at Broadlawns General hospital. He had been an employee of the Des Moines Railway Co. for 45 years.
He is survived by: two sons, Cornelius of Des Moines, and James, in the army, and two sisters, Mary Ahern and Sarah Ahern, both of Des Moines.
