Myron Guy Parker was born on August 25, 1920 in Madera, CA to Robert and Emo Palmer Parker. He passed away Sunday January 2, 2011 in Madera after a lengthy illness. Myron was an active member of the Madera First Christian Church. He was employed at Oberti Olives as a retort Supervisor for over 40 years until his retirement. Myron was a graduate of Madera High School Class1940. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting fishing. Myron and his brother Mel could be found on Friday nights at the Madera High School Football Stadium for both the J.V. and Varsity Games. He was a great fan of football and had the opportunity to watch the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. Myron will be missed by many and to him we say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, God's speed to you."
Myron was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis in April 2009, his parents, an infant son Michael and his Brother Melvin Parker.
He is survived by his Son Steven Parker of Madera , his brother Mr. and Mrs. Larry Parker of Madera, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Bud Smith, his brother-in-law Willis and wife, Mercy Creamer all of Madera. Myron also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
