Pauline Utt 1926 - 2010 A graveside service for Pauline Utt is scheduled for Monday, December 20th at 10:30 a.m., Greenlawn Cemetery, 3700 River Blvd, Bakersfield. Pauline passed away in Bakersfield on Monday, December 6, 2010. She was born in Inglewood, CA on February 15, 1926 and moved to Bakersfield as a child. She attended East Bakersfield High School and soon met Alfred "Jiggs" Utt when he went bowling and she was a pin-setter. They married in 1943 and farmed and ran cattle on the Utt family ranch in the Poso Creek area for many years prior to his death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, Guy, in 1967. Pauline is survived by her son, Dennis (wife Vicki); grandsons, Dennis (wife Maria) and Ryan (wife Jennyfer); and great-grandchildren, Ande, Lauren, Bradley and Tanner Utt, all of Bakersfield; a daughter, Georgia Overturf and her family of Gardnerville, NV. Also surviving are her sister, JoAnn "Jodi" Cavin of Elk Grove, CA; brother, Dale Monday (wife Joanie) of Suttons Bay, MI; and very special to her were her long-time companion, Ray Anglen; cousin, Beverly MacLean; and sister-in-law, Maxine Utt. For many years Pauline was a very active member of the Rosedale Grange, serving as treasurer, and until her final illness was active in the Bakersfield Mavericks. The family thanks the staff at Corinthian Gardens Healthcare for their loving care of Pauline, especially Raj, Pawl, Parmjit and Sylvia.
