Edward Shay Jr. 49 years old, of Fulton, died February 8, 1958 at Callaway County Hospital in Fulton, Missouri under the care of Dr. James Hill. He had Tongue Cancer and died of a Cerebral Hemorrhage contributed to by Tuberculosis. .

He was born November 9, 1908 in Mexico, Missouri,the son of Edward Shay Sr. and Effie "Mary" Epperson Shay. He had lived in Fulton for several years and at 826 A Jefferson Street in Fulton, with his mother, for the last few months. Edward was retired.

Edward served our country in the United States Army in World War II , TEG5 HO Btry 281CA BN

Edward is survived by his mother, former spouse, Ora Shay and two children, Edward E. Shay III and Gayle Shay, both of Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward E. Shay who died July 12, 1948.

Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements. Burial in Elmwood Cemetary in Mexico on February 10, 1958.

Edward was born November 9, 1908, in Mexico, the son od Edward Elmore Shay Sr. and Effie Epperson Shay. He was united in marriage to Ora Shay and they had been divorced for several years. He was retired but no occupation was listed.

Edward served in the United States Army during World War 11.
