Age 65, a native of Bell, CA and a resident of Madera, CA for 38 years passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at a Madera Hospital. Connie worked for the Madera Glass Plant for 28 years before retiring and was the first woman on the west coast to work in the hot end, operating the machinery that made the bottles. She was a beloved wife and mother.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Dwayne Arthur James & Annie Jeane Maritt and her brother Allen Wayne James.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years Gary P. Fernandez of Madera, CA. 3 children: Tammie L. D Amore of Coarsegold, CA; Malia R. Hildebrandt of Merced, CA & William E. Green of Oakhurst, CA. She was the grandmother to Ryan C. Oliver-U.S. Army, Fort Sill, OK; Steven R. Oliver & Chloe M. Hildebrandt both of Merced, CA.
