INSALL

Funeral services for Hilda "Cookie Smith" Insall, 83, 604 N. Fifth, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the West Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean McAlister of the Fox and Walnut Church of God officiating and the Rev. F. Carold Stone of the Hillcrest Church of God assisting. Burial will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery. Insall died in the local hospital Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Finley, Clyde Barnett, Jay Mobley, Wilbur Robert, Larry Asbury and Harvey Brooks.

Born and reared in Barksdale, Texas, she moved to Carlsbad in 1923 and managed several restaurants until the early 1950s when she became active as a foster mother.

She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of God.

Survivors include one daughter, Vivian Putman of Carlsbad; a foster daughter, Mrs. Ann Garriott of Carlsbad; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
