of Old Catoctin Road, Foxville, Md., passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown.
Born Sept. 4, 1915, in Foxville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Mary Alice (Lewis) Kuhn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd G. Hurley, in 1973. They were married November 1931.
She attended Pleasant Valley School.
She was employed years ago by Thurmont Shoe Factory and was a homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church of Foxville and was the oldest active member, attending since her childhood.
She was a avid quilter.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Glass of Foxville; two sons, Donald Hurley and wife, Sara, and Ralph Hurley and wife, Teena, all of Foxville; grandchildren, Donna Hurley, Michael Hurley, Cheryl Fredrikis, Ralph Hurley II, Lynette McClure, Kathy Hartman, Charles Hurley Jr., David Lingg and Duane Glass; 22 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Hurley Sr.; siblings, Edna Lewis, Ruth Brandenburg, Hazel Weigel, Betty Draper, Jim Kuhn, Emma Humerick and Roy Kuhn; daughter-in-law, Frances Hurley and son-in-law, Gary Glass.
Services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Cas to Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, 14110 Stottlemyer Road, Smithsburg, MD 21783.
Those who were fortunate enough to have Cas in their lives were blessed with her wisdom, knowledge, kindness, gentle spirit and most of all her warmth and love. We thank God for the years she was with us.
