George Letellier, 54, General Manager of Public Utility District No. 1 of Klickitat County, Washington, passed away at the Memorial Hospital, Yakima, Washington, May 12 after a short illness.
He came to Klickitat County January 17 from Sundance, Wyo. where he had been General Manager of the TriCounty Electric Cooperative for about 11 years.
Prior to that he had worked for Grand Electric Cooperative of Bison, S.D.; Kuljian Engineering Corporation, Philadelphia; Rodgers Engineering Company, San Francisco in domestic and foreign engineering projects.
He also served as General Manager of the Orcas Power and Light Company, East Sound, Wash. and Sheridan County Electric Cooperative of Medicine Lake, Mont. during the period of 1948-1956.
He was born Sept. 27, 1922 and was educated in grade schools of Klein, Montana and Colleges of Colorado and Montana.
He was a member of the Masonic Order, the Shrine and the Lions Club. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; a sister Virginia Langen, Fresno, Calif. and his mother, Mrs. Olga Letellier, Roundup, Mont., and also a number of nieces and nephew.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Burial was in Goldendale.
