On 6 Aug 1871 in Milan, Sullivan County,
Missouri, James Jones Bennett and
Minerva Frances Hays Bennett were joined
in marriage and remained united in marriage
until their passing.

There were 13 children from this union,
all born in Sullivan County, Missouri--

Ordella Frances "Dolly" Bennett McPhetridge (1877-1959)

After 1900, James Jones Bennett moved
his household of 15 to Oklahoma. He
built a house and worked his farm.

He helped found and build the Rosedale Church
of Christ in Rosedale, Oklahoma, where he
is buried; and served as a Church Elder.

He also sent his children to the Rosedale
School and served as Director and
School Officer (Nov 1904-Mar 1905).
Many of the children from neighboring
farms attended this school and found
their future spouses in this close
knit farming community.
