George Allen Blair was born June 24, 1919 southeast of Texola, Oklahoma to Beveley Hanford Blair and Emma Pearl (Johnson) Blair and passed away August 27, 2009 at Elk City, Oklahoma from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 3 days.

George, one of five children, grew up in Texola and was educated in the Texola schools. Following graduation, he continued to live on the family farm and took care of his mother and father in their last years.

He was a farmer and rancher and excelled in mechanical work and electrical wiring for a number of years. He was a decent, good and honest man and a person of many talents.

He was a member of the Texola Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hanford Blair, two sisters, Maxie Courtney and Jeffie Blair and a niece and nephew.

George leaves his younger sister, Jean Murphy, of Butler, Missouri; close friend, Richard Moore, Texola, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Erick Ambulance Fund of the Texola Baptist Church.
