Marie Davis Hendrix, 87, of Chester, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005. She was the widow of Charles Irven Hendrix. Mrs. Hendrix is survived by three daughters, Dorothy L. Coley, Chester, Va., Frances L. Finch, Brodnax, Va. and Michele H. Edwards, Danville, Va.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earnest C. Davis, Douglas E. Davis of Farmville, Va. and Veldon Davis, Chesterfield, Va.; and four sisters, Hazel Barnes, Highland Springs, Va., Thelma Andres, Georgia, Rose McAbee, Farmville, Va. and Ruth Handcock, Kansas. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005, in the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Va. The family will receive friends Friday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences can be registered www.jtmorriss.com
