Harold R. (Sonny) Wyman
(10/5/1935 - 12/4/2010)
Harold was taken home with the Lord on Dec. 4, 2010. After a battle with cancer, he will now be free of pain. He was born in Boston, Mass.
Harold is survived by his wife Arlene of 37 years; and his twin daughters, Monica and Janine, the major loves of his life, residing on Long Island, N.Y.; sister Florence Flaherty of Scituate, Mass., sister Rosemary Valli, already with the Lord, and brother-in-law George Valli of Bradenton, Fla. He was a proud uncle of many nieces, nephews and adoring friends.
Harold served our country with the Navy and retired from retail with Macy's. He then went on to meet many others as co-owner of Call Me a Limo, a limousine service he and Arlene enjoyed in making many friends. Hal spent his last year of retirement from Long Island, N.Y., in Dewey, Ariz. Harold also served the Lord at our local church in Copaigue, N.Y., where he taught Sunday school and led AWANA, the youth group, and preached many sermons. Hal was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and writing poems. Being a Navy man, Hal loved cruising vacations with family and friends. A loving man, he will be dearly missed.
Reposing from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley. Graveside service with military honors will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, Ariz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hal's memory to the Cancer Society of your choice.
