The remains of the late Captain W.H. Rives were removed from Westside Cemetery last week and transferred to Columbia. Captain Rives died at his home in this city about two months ago.

Son of Sterling and Louise Rives
Married 1883 to Sallie M. Wade, Daughter of Walter and Martha Tayloe Wade of Miss. Entered the Confederate Army 1861 and served during the entire war in Bookter's Company 12th S. C. Reg. Gregg's Brigade Jackson's Corp. s Prisoner at Johnson's Island at close of war.
