Born in Andover in 1865, Mrs. Sarah Foster Greene died on January 31, 1947.
She attended the public schools in Andover and also took a course at Abbot academy. She was a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton.
Her husband, Frederick Greene, is the son of Joseph H. Greene, life-long missionary to Turkey. Frederick and Sarah Greene were also missionaries to the Armenians in Turkey for five years. For most of their lives, their home was in Upper Montclair, N. J., where Mrs. Greene was active in church and social work.
Four sons and fourteen grandchildren are living. The sons are Dr. Phillips F. Greene, Joseph K. Greene, Edward B. Greene and David L. Greene. F. Homer Foster, Andover resident, is a brother of the deceased.
