AGE: 77 MONROE TOWNSHIP

Patricia E. McConkey Cryan, 77, of Monroe Township, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick.

Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Cryan lived on Long Island for over 40 years before moving to the Greenbriar at Whittingham community in Monroe Township in 1999.

She was a parishioner and eucharist minister at St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church and led the communion service every Sunday for years at the Monroe Village community in Monroe Township.

Mrs. Cryan was a hospice volunteer for many years, the last six months with the VNA of Central NJ.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Mary Eileen; a brother, Joseph; and three sisters, Mary, Peggy and Shiela.

Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Francis T. "Frank"; five daughters, Margaret Duncan and her husband Brian, Therese Marshall and her husband Chris, Frances Cullina, Patricia Cryan and Catherine Cryan; two sons, John and his wife Christina and Kevin and his wife Jen; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daniel, Mary, Eileen and Bridget; seven nieces, Kathy, Betty, Joanne, Theresa, Rosemary, Marie and Robin; four nephews, Michael, Robert, Stephen and Andrew; sisters-in-law, Anne and Trudi; brothers-in-law, Jack and Bob; and devoted friends, Bill W. and Bob S.

She shared her experience, strength and hope with countless friends for more than 40 years and through their friendship and love, she became a truly caring and spiritual person. Her passing has left a hole in all our hearts.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Services will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martin House Foundation, P.O. Box 1025, Trenton, NJ 08606-1025.
