Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be presented by Moline American Legion Post 246. Visitation is an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be left to the family.
LeRoy was born March 15, 1941, in Rockwell City, Iowa, the youngest of 16 children born to Rudolph and Mary Andries Arndt. He married Patricia in 1973 in East Moline and she died in 1992.
He worked as a truck mechanic for 2 & 92 Auto and was currently doing property maintenance.
LeRoy served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, William and Joan Arndt, Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Kevin and Colleen Arndt, Apple Valley, Minn.; three grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Weidnauer and Bernice Barker, both of Pomeroy, Iowa, and a brother, Larry Arndt, Mission, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia and 12 brothers and sisters.
