Jim was born in Flint, MI on April 26, 1946, son of Ronald and Betty (Lough) Ash. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Marine Corp in Vietnam and was a Life Member of Byron VFW Post 5822. Jim retired from Buick in 1997 with 33 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 599. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. He did scrimshaw and enjoyed woodworking. His most faithful companion was his dog, Jesse. Jim had a great sense of humor and always helped those who were in need.
Jim is survived by his mother, Betty Burch; sons, Devon (Suellen) Ash and Robby (Elizabeth) Ash; grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Najla and Leyla; great-granddaughter, Samara; special friend whom he loved like a daughter, Becky Gilson; many friends and loving family members including special cousin, Bessie Hope. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of VNA Hospice of Davison. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald and sister, Ronnett Blauer.
