Ranee ( pronounced RaNay ) was quite possibly the most loving woman. Very kind and caring.

Our dear beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother RaNee Nielson Long returned to Heavenly Father on March 23, 2009.She was born on April 18th, 1924 to Ferry L. and Blanche Johnson Nielson. She attended Lindon Elementary and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.

She resided in Orem for the greater part of her life on her father's farm. She was a devoted woman of God.

She loved to write poems, stories and tributes for others. She was a 4H Leader and collected Porcelain dolls and angels.

She is survived by her children; Drew (Elizabeth) Long, F.R. (Johanna ) Long, Gary (Marilee) Long, Brenda Long, Rick (Karen) Long, Tonia (Jack) Anderson, Pam (Tony) DeMita and Linda Long. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Wesley Valene Long and her sister Uana Illingsworth.


We, all who knew her, was blessed that we did.
