Son of John Orgain (Phd) of Brunswick County, VA. and Ann Walthall Craig (daughter of George W. Craig and Ann Walthall Chambers) of Lunenburg County. George married Rebecca Orgain on 18 Dec 1860, Brunswick County. George & Rebecca were third cousins.

Rebecca was the daughter of John (MD)Orgain (son of Benamin Orgain and Susannah Edmundson) and Rebecca L Orgain (daughter of Thomas Orgain and Rebecca Lucas.) John (MD)Orgain and Rebecca L Orgain were second cousins.

George was a Lawyer residing in the Lewiston District, Lunenburg County. He and Rebecca had the following known children; He was elected as Commonwealth Attorney in 1860 at age 24.

Atlanta, Georgia. 22 May 1889 married Joare Josephine Stewart, b.1868 d.14 Feb 1909 Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of Isaac Carroll Stewart and Eliza Jane Wright (daughter of William W. Wright and Annis Parker ) George C. Orgain and Josephine had nine children, some of whom moved to Virigina to live with Judge and Rebecca Orgain after their mother, Josephine, died in 1909.
